Come spend an afternoon lost in art, in an inspiring , relaxed space surrounded by beautiful flowers. Rowena is a wonderful teacher who will guide us throughout the day as we explore the techniques of watercolour. This is a chance to unwind and engage your senses in the beauty of nature.
This workshop is relaxing, informative and challenging for both beginners and experienced painters alike. The elements of Sumi-e will be introduced in this class.
Watercolour techniques through demonstration, individual instruction and class discussions help to release your personal response to paint in an intuitive manner.
Colour mixing, composition and still life are some of the topics addressed in this serene and inspiring workshop.
All materials will be supplied.

Rowena Dykins studied fine art at the School of Art & Design at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and Concordia University, Montreal. Her works are in the collections of the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, Station Gallery, Whitby and the Art Gallery of Peterborough. Dykins was chosen as an artist in residence at Pouch Cove, Newfoundland and more recently at ARTscape, Toronto Island. Rowena has been involved in teaching both adults and children for over 30 years.
